THE MY DYING BRIDE have recently announced the cancellation of all live dates scheduled for 2024. Now the English group has made the reasons known:
“The production of the latest album [“A Mortal Binding“] it was arduous and demanding to the point of highlighting the fractures within the band. These tensions had already emerged during the making of the previous two albums and were exacerbated during the Covid period. They have intensified in recent months, causing a deep sense of discontent among the band members. The resulting stress and the pervasive feeling of exhaustion and physical and mental discomfort it causes have made it necessary to take a break which unfortunately affects the concerts.
The reason why we have not made any official statements until now is because the band hoped to resolve these internal problems and perform some shows this year, trying to find a solution in time to satisfy all parties involved. Unfortunately, we have not yet reached an agreement.
Unfortunately, a lack of understanding and poor communication from our professional partners has led to chaos that is difficult to recover from. However, the promoters have been warned and hopefully they can do everything they can to minimize the impact of this on you.
We apologize for keeping you in the dark, but it is truly a difficult time.”
