The long-awaited Tron: Ares, the new chapter in the famous science fiction saga Tron, has officially completed principal photography, as revealed on Instagram by director Joachim Rønning.

As you can see in the post available at the bottom of the article, the director announced the conclusion of work on Tron: Ares published a new photo from behind the scenes, which also shows a new look at protagonist Jared Leto: “We have finished filming TRON:ARES“, reads Rønning’s post. “Thank you so much to this incredible and tireless crew, I truly believe we pushed our limits in making this film. Even during six weeks of night shooting you never slowed down. Also, a big thank you to our wonderful cast for bringing this world to the screen. I can’t wait to show the fans what we’ve done.”

TRON: Ares is the sequel to the 1982 Disney film TRON and the 2010 sequel TRON: Legacy, and tells the story of the birth of a highly sophisticated program, Ares, who is sent from the digital world to the real world on a dangerous mission, thus marking humanity’s first encounter with beings equipped with artificial intelligence. The film stars Jared Leto, Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Hasan Minhaj, Jodie Turner-Smith, Arturo Castro, Cameron Monaghan and Gillian Anderson, and will also include the surprise return of Jeff Bridges.

The film will be released in 2025, with a release date to be announced soon. If you want, try to guess it by consulting the calendar of all Disney releases until 2031.
