Morcheeba

London band with a twenty-year career, Morcheeba are synonymous with musical evolution. They established themselves in 1995 as a trip-hop group and then embraced, thanks to the use of electronic sounds, genres that were always different but well blended by their very personal style: pop rock, alternative rock, indie rock. Making their own unique mark on the world of music, they created hits such as ‘Rome Wasn’t Built in a Day’, ‘Otherwise’, ‘The Sea’ and ‘Be Yourself’. With their latest album ‘Blackest Blue’, released in 2021, Skye Edwards and Ross Godfrey manage to create a refined collection of songs that blends the band’s previous incarnations and sound, such as downbeat, chill, electro-pop and soul , in a cohesive record that delves into the soul of the band’s musical legacy. Morcheeba’s global reach is impressive and has allowed them to play all over the world. Their distinctive electronic/organic sound has managed to cross boundaries, making the band a true hallmark for the original purity of their musical successes.

Bregović

With roots in the Balkans, where he is originally from, and his mind in the twenty-first century, Goran Bregović’s compositions blend the sounds of Balkan folk with electronics, wild rhythms and sacred themes with rock accents, giving life to a music that is now it is a truly recognizable signature. His musical history, which is inextricably intertwined with his personal one, begins at the age of sixteen when he created his first rock groups among the clubs of Sarajevo. Fifteen years followed with his group, White Button, and thirteen albums sold in six million copies. Endless tours in which Goran became the idol of Yugoslav youth. At the end of the 1980s, Bregović began to approach the world of film music, composing the melodies for Emir Kusturica’s third film ‘Time of the Gypsies’, the first of many films for which he would compose the music. In the summer of 1995 Goran returned to the stage, touring throughout Europe at the head of his Orchestra for Weddings and Funerals, presenting his most beautiful pieces: from the now famous ‘Ederlezi’ (Il Tempo dei Gitani) to ‘In the Death Car’ (Arizona Dream) passing through the vigorous ‘Kalashnikov’ (Underground). Goran has collaborated with many artists including Iggy Pop, Ofra Haza, Cesaria Evora, Sezen Aksu, Georges Dalaras, Kayaha. His albums include: ‘Tales and Songs from Weddings and Funerals’, ‘Chamapgne for Gypsies’ and ‘Three Letters from Sarajevo’. The spectacle of his concerts is not born from special effects, but from the musicians present on stage and Bregović’s charisma, which make it impossible to resist the magic of this Balkan cocktail.
