Towards the elections. Protagonists among the waste of the Serrai di Sottoguda are the outgoing mayor, the minority councillor, and the friends of the minority councillor.

A few days ago, in spring weather, the mayor of Rocca Pietore, Andrea De Bernardin, sent RADIOPIU a photo of waste abandoned in the Serrai di Sottoguda, also specifying that it is not the only case in the municipal area. Concept and objective: highlight incivility.

Radio Più publishes the report, worthy of space. Furthermore, to create a moment of common reflection, he decides to interview the mayor who, as always, does not shy away from questions

CHAPTER 3
Maurizio De Cassan, minority councillor, contacts the RADIOPIU’ offices, ironically telling us that that waste, at the Serrai, has been there for some time, already in December, the first report in winter. The editorial staff takes note, thanks De Cassan and takes the liberty of adding: “this was not the concept of the service, of our task”Obviously, what do we know when the waste was dumped and sincerely this was not our aim in informing. We end the phone call with De Cassan by talking about something else, for example we ask him, given that the electoral campaign has begun, if he intends re-apply for the umpteenth time, but again with a hint of irony and using the registry office we seem to understand that it is a firm no. Will it be true? We’ll find out in a few days. But this phone call makes us reflect on the report and we conclude “It’s certainly not a pre-election move” because Maurizio De Cassan (minority councilor and already candidate for mayor) did not confirm it to us. But the editorial team remains open to all hypotheses “In fact – says the director – he didn’t even deny it to us”.

Uniti Montagna : We would like to point out that the abandonment of waste dates back to at least December 2023. The mayor and Maurizio De Cassan were on site when the report was made by Mariella De Cassan who said “mayor and former mayor come and see what we have here”. Maurizio had also reported the fact to both the technical office and the municipal guard, but no one took steps to remove it. It seems strange to us that the mayor is only indignant now, months later, instead of solving the problem immediately by carrying out the necessary investigations.

But it is our hypothesis that the threatening phone calls won’t then start, like the last time… with the double phone call to Gianni Santomaso and Mirko Mezzacasa from a particularly angry “offended” opposition councilor ready to sue us (strange…) for having read about his possible candidacy…an experience not to be repeated, moreover it was also Sunday at midday lunch time and all for this reason for a “stupid” hypothesis ruining my day because like everyone I am particularly sensitive to verbal aggression
