Some new images from the filming would confirm that the villain of the film will be of an alien nature which would be added to Lex Luthor
These days the production of Superman moved to Cleveland to film the scenes set in Metropolis and the latest photos leaked from the set confirm the alien nature of the film’s villain.
Some newspaper images have also been leaked online showing David Coresnwet’s Man of Steel in his exploits as protector of the city. Over the past few days, rubble has slowly been added to the street, and it looks like the cameras will start rolling today (which means we’ll likely get our first look at Superman and the cast in action later in the week).
Nicholas Hoult will play Lex Luthor, but it is not yet clear whether he will don a Power Suit to face the Kryptonian. The first teaser image for the film showed a bizarre alien orb in the background which, according to fans, it could be WarworldMongul’s ship.
Who will be Superman’s alien villain?
Now, a large staircase has been erected on the street, with the idea of showing someone or something emerging from a ship that will be added via VFX. This is evident from the fact that the steps are metal and that one fan noticed the presence of lights inside what appears to be a door.

The question is: why is this ship landing outside the Daily Planet and what will it mean for Clark Kent/Kal-El’s secret identity? Other new images suggest it could be of Mr. Terrific’s arrival on Earth.
DC Studios and James Gunn have been so careful up until this point that we imagine they will do everything they can to prevent any leaks, so only time will tell which villain will make an appearance in the film. However, the presence of an alien ship seems to suggest that the rumors of Ultraman’s presence were false.
