Waiting for the trailer of The Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim, the new cinematic film in the saga The Lord of the Rings in these hours he showed himself with the first official photos published during the Annecy Festival.

Directed by Kenji Kamiyama from a screenplay by Phoebe Gittins and Arty Papageorgiou and based on a retold story in the appendices of the novel The Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien, the film is produced by Warner Bros. Animation and New Line Cinema and made thanks to the animation studio Sola Entertainment: it is a prequel set 180 years before the events of Peter Jackson’s trilogy starring Brian Cox as Helm Hammerhand, a legendary king of Rohan. He will also return to the castactress Miranda Otto, who reprises her role as Éowyn from the Lord of the Rings film trilogy as narrator.
The Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim hits theaters on December 13thobviously distributed by Warner Bros, while The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum will follow in 2026.
