First take of the film “L’Abbaglio” in Caltabellotta

Filming began today in Caltabellotta for the film “L’Abbaglio” by Roberto Andò, a film set in Sicily during the Expedition of the Thousand which has already been previewed in Cannes and will be released in theaters on January 16th while it will arrive on TV first on Mediaset and then on Rai.

Today the set moved to the mountain municipality of Agrigento after some filming which involved Palermo and other Sicilian municipalities in the previous months, as had been announced. The production will be in the mountain municipality for a few days of filming which sees the participation not only of the protagonist actors: Toni Servillo, Ficarra and Picone but also of local actors who were chosen after a special casting.

The project in Caltabellotta was strongly supported by the outgoing administration with the deputy mayor Biagio Marciante and the cultural operator Michele Ruvolo

Today, for the arrival of Valentino Picone who, together with the inseparable Salvo Ficarra, play two undisciplined Garibaldians, there is a crowd in the caravans of the film set amidst requests for photos and autographs.
