As the Multiverse saga continues, Marvel Studios has officially recruited another leading actor for the franchise: Giancarlo Esposito, in fact, will appear in the MCU as a character not yet revealed. The interpreter and other members of the cast of Captain America: Brave New World are currently participating in filming in preparation for thefilm release in 2025.
Nearly a day after confirming that Giancarlo Esposito will appear in Captain America: Brave New World, photographer Christopher Oquendo shared on Twitter a first image of the mysterious villain who will make his debut in the MCU in 2025. From the photos, it is possible to notice the face of Breaking Bad arriving on the filming set of the film, dressed in complete costume of his character which includes armor with built-in knife holsters and a pistol hidden under the stylish jacket.

What is the role of Giancarlo Esposito
The set photos don’t provide much clues as to who the actor might be playing in the MCU movie. Since, as reported by Screen Rant, some rumors suggest that the Serpent Society will have a role in Captain America: Brave New World, Giancarlo Esposito could play one of his members, given that he is wearing tactical gear. However, as the Serpent Society is one of the smaller evil organizations in the Marvel world, it’s difficult to single out a specific character.
A big surprise would be if Esposito played one revisited version of Victor von Doom long before he becomes Doctor Doom, one of the most famous villains in the entire Marvel canon of the Fantastic Four. Since Esposito has revealed that his character will also be the focus of an MCU TV series, a pivotal character like Doctor Doom would make a lot of sense. Victor, therefore, could have a small role in this film in order to set the stage for him to be expanded into a TV show.
Giancarlo Esposito has hinted that it is a character that not many expect, but what the scope is is the biggest mystery. Captain America: Brave New World will be released in Italy on February 12, 2025.
