RITE HERE RITE NOW will completely immerse viewers in the technicolor melodrama of the famous live ritual that has contributed to the success of Sweden’s most important “theatrical rock” band, GRAMMY wins, international chart-topping and headlining arena tours around the world.

RITE HERE RITE NOW it is much more than a simple “concert film”. GHOST’s first full-length film adds to the live performances of the final two nights of RE-IMPERATOUR USA 2023 a narrative story that takes up the plot threads of the long series of Chapters of the band. The result is a completely unique phantasmagoric blend: renditions of favorite songs from all five GHOST albums, plus “Mary On A Cross”are intertwined with the big screen debut of some faces familiar to the band’s legions of fans, who interact behind the scenes with Pope Emeritus IV as his future and destiny rest in the hands of the Ministry.

A perfect event both for fans who wish to relive the fondest memories of GHOST’s live show, and for the curious who are still “uninitiated”. RITE HERE RITE NOW invites viewers to put down their phones and live in the moment – as the shadow of uncertainty looms – completely enthralled and enthralled by this bombastic yet utterly intimate cinematic portrait of GHOST.

Tobias Forge explained: “Over ten years ago, when GHOST signed to Loma Vista, Tom Whalley (owner and CEO) asked what the history of the band was. He believed that telling a story was essential to engaging new fans. I replied that since we were a new “baby band” and above all an ANONYMOUS baby band there was no convincing story to tell. Not yet, anyway. But I told him if he wanted a story, I could make one up. This film is the fruit of that conversation.”

Director Alex Ross Perry said: “Collaborating with Tobias to expand the GHOST saga into a feature film was an absolute pleasure. This film has given us inspiration from everything from silent horror to The great rock n’ roll scamby Ralph Bakshi a KISS Alive II. There were many influences, but above all the final goal was to create a one-of-a-kind party not only for GHOST fans, but for all lovers of the cinematic alchemy between rock spectacle and ghostly delights.”

The film’s original soundtrack will be released worldwide on July 26 by Loma Vista Recordings / Universal Music and includes the live version of “Absolution,” filmed during the legendary concerts at the Forum in Los Angeles. It will be available in all formats (digital, CD, 2xLP).

RITE HERE RITE NOW is directed by Tobias Forge and Alex Ross Perry of GHOST and is produced by Popecorn Cinematic Pictures. Producers include Kristen Mulderig, Rick Sales, Craig Butta and Jonas Åkerlund.
