Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee of Thunder Road, the production company behind the success of the John Wick saga, are preparing the ground for an incredible new cinematic adventure starring the talented Matilda Lutz!
Iwanyk and Lee’s goal is much more ambitious and involves the birth of the independent label Badlands with which they want to inaugurate new projects that will open the line Arachnid, a thriller with compelling charm written by Jayson Rothwell and directed by Ángel Gómez (Voces). Matilda Lutz, ready for the reboot of Red Sonja, will bring her charisma to the big screen in the main role of Arachnid. Filming of the film will begin this July in Madrid. The debut of Badlands on the market also sees the involvement of Scott Strauss, a veteran of the sector, with the success of franchises such as Resident Evil and Underworld behind him. No plot details have been disclosed at this time.
There’s a lot of irons in the fire for Thunder Road: the production company increasingly broadens its horizons as the John Wick universe takes shape between the prequel TV series The Continental and the spin-off Ballerina which has currently been postponed until next year and many new projects related to the assassin by Keanu Reeves still in development.
