A little while ago we reported to you the ranking of the blockbusters that generated the most profits at the box office during 2023 and, now, it’s the turn of the other side of the coin, that of the films that generated the greatest losses, in which 4 of the 5 positions reported by Deadline are occupied by Disney.
It is worth noting that, as for the chart of the feature films that have generated the most profits, here too the calculations made by Deadline take into consideration all possible variables: takings, production costs, marketing costs, participations for residuals , the sale of TV rights etc etc.
And for Disney the data is not comforting.
In first position we have The Marvels of Marvel Studios, with a loss of 237 million, in second place The Flash of Warner DC with 155 million in liabilities and then, to follow, only Disney blockbusters such as: Indiana Jones (-143 million), Wish (-131 million) and, finally, Haunted mansion (-117 million).
