revealed when the next film will arrive in theaters

Great news for fans waiting to see the next chapter of the saga of Fast & Furious. As known, the tenth film ended with a very open ending, which put Vin Diesel faced with a new serious threat to his family; and now we know when we will see the continuation of the clash with Dante Reyes.

Director Louis Leterriertook over from Justin Lin right during the filming of Fastduring an interview with Collider he in fact anticipated the release date of Fast & Furious 11, which theoretically could also represent the absolute last chapter of the franchise (but the question is still open). Initially scheduled for 2025, it was instead postponed, due to the strikes that blocked Hollywood, from April to October 2026.

Now, however, news has arrived that not only is there a new release date, but that it could also be special for fans: it seems that to see Fast 11 we will have to wait until 2026when they will be celebrated 25 years of the saga. Not only that: it could also be released on the exact day of the first historic chapter of the franchise, that is June 22nd; on this exact date in 2001 the world first met the character of Dominic Toretto in the film directed by Rob Cohen. Universal has not yet officially confirmed the news, because filming has yet to begin (in 2025), but the director’s words have a romantic aftertaste for fans.

The entire saga, let’s remember, was a success nearly $7.5 billion at the global box office: the highest point was Fast & Furious 7 with 1.5 billion, while the last chapter stopped at 719 million dollars. There is also a new spin-off in the works with Dwayne Johnsonreturned as Hobbs after the now historic feud with Vin Diesel, thanks to a surprising scene after the credits.

What do you think? Are you eager to see the next chapter of the most adrenaline-filled franchise in the history of cinema? Tell us your opinion, as always, in the comments.
