Episode 8 of X-Men ’97 reveals that Bastion was behind all the threats, and we find out that he’s in cahoots with villains like Baron Zemo and Doctor Doom. We are also shown the future of Cable, with unexpected appearances from Polaris and Rachel Summers.
Back in the present, the X-Mansion is attacked by new sentinels, and Morph transforms into Juggernaut. When Magneto unleashes his power at the end of the episode, we can see Omega Red, Silver samurai, and none other than Spider-Man.

X-Men ’97 revisits the iconic era of the ’90s, as the X-Men, a group of mutants who use their extraordinary powers to protect a world that hates and fears them, are tested like never before, forced to face a new dangerous and unexpected future. The voice cast in the original version includes Ray Chase (Cyclops), Jennifer Hale (Jean Grey), Alison Sealy-Smith (Storm), Cal Dodd (Wolverine), JP Karliak as Morph, Lenore Zann as Rogue, George Buza as Beast, AJ LoCascio (Gambit), Holly Chou (Jubilee), Isaac Robinson-Smith (Bishop), Matthew Waterson (Magneto) and Adrian Hough (Nightcrawler). Beau DeMayo is the head writer; the episodes are directed by Jake Castorena, Chase Conley and Emi Yonemura. With music by the Newton Brothers, Brad Winderbaum, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso and DeMayo serve as executive producers on the series.
