Deadpool & Wolverine is one of the next Marvel films and is certainly one of the most anticipated by the public. It took a while for it to be ready and that’s why too Hollywood strike of last year. However, it seems that there is such a “block”. done well for the film and the actors.

In a recent interview with The Associated Press, Deadpool & Wolverine director Shawn Levy explained how the strikes affected work on the projectclaiming that they ultimately helped the cast and crew recalibrate their priorities for the film.

“The impact was real,” Levy explained. “For me as a director and producer, the several-month break happened right in the middle of filming. I couldn’t do anything but edit and review the footage. But it taught me about my film and really revealed what was working And what the film wanted to be“.

“It really focused our work and I think it improved our work in the second half,” Levy added. “That’s not a luxury you ever have in live-action cinema“.

The production of Deadpool & Wolverine was blocked in Julybefore resuming filming around Thanksgiving in November 2023. As Levy previously said, the break allowed him and Reynolds to “have time to learn about and reflect on” the story.

Deadpool & Wolverine is not Deadpool 3

We don’t know in detail what Deadpool & Wolverine will be about, but we know that we shouldn’t consider this film as Deadpool 3.

The film will also feature Morena Baccarin as Vanessa Carlysle, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Stefan Kapičić as Piotr Rasputin/Colossus, with Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen having unknown roles. It also seems that Jennifer Garner will reprise her role as Elektra, after appearing in the Daredevil and Elektra films.
