Descriptive text here

The animated series X-Men ’97 could have been canon in the MCU, but Kevin Feige decided otherwise.

He revealed this in a recent interview with Inversethe director Emi Yonemurawho underlined how Feige was undecided until the end on whether to make x-Men ’97 canon or not:

We know this has always been something on Kevin Feige’s mind, will we be part of the MCU? Aren’t we part of the MCU? It actually went back and forth quite a few times, and I think in the end it was a smart choice because X-Men: The Animated Series was its own thing, and I think to continue it we needed to be our own thing separate from the MCU.

X-Men ’97 is available on Disney+.

We remind you that among the protagonists there are Jean Grey, Cyclops, Storm, Wolverine, Beast, Gambit, Jubilee, Sunspot, Morph, Rogue, Bishop, and the master of magnetism Magneto.
