Inside Out 2the long-awaited sequel to the Pixar film, is arriving in American theaters on June 14 (WATCH THE TRAILER). Recently, CB had the opportunity to preview 35 minutes of it: here are some previews.

Introducing the vision, director Kelsey Mann explained:

[Inside Out] it was everything I love about movies, especially here at Pixar. It was fun, imaginative and had a significant impact on the world. But ever since I left the theater in 2015, I kept thinking about Joy’s last line at the end of the film: “After all, Rylie is 12 years old. What could happen?“. Well, this is the question we want to answer in the sequel.

Producer Mark Nielsen adds:

When Pete [Docter, capo della Pixar] brought me closer to the idea of ​​teaming up with Kelsey to produce the sequel to Inside Out, I jumped at the opportunity. I was the associate producer on the first film and for me this imaginative world of Riley and his emotions is really special. And having the opportunity to explore the next chapter of Riley’s life in this new film was an absolute thrill. Additionally, Kelsey and I are both fathers of teenage girls, which made exploring this stage of our children’s lives very meaningful and actually helpful in telling this story.

As already shown in the trailer, the story introduces new emotions: Anxiety, Boredom, Envy and Embarrassment. Among the new characters we will find Bloofy and Lance Slashblade. The first recalls the protagonist of the children’s series Blue’s Clues, who speaks directly to the audience when he asks for help, but leaves others confused when he launches into hilarious moments of comedy. The second is a video game character from the PlayStation 2 era with almost useless moves but a much stronger attitude. The latter, according to the newspaper, “will bring out lots of laughs and memories in the audience“.
