The film Rebel Moon – Part 2: The Scar debuted on Rotten Tomatoes with the worst score never received from a film directed by Zack Snyder.
The sci-fi project continues the story of Kora, played by Sofia Boutella, as she assembles a team to defend the planet of Veldt from the Imperium.
The negative reception
From today the film Rebel Moon – Part 2: The Scarer is available on Netflix and on Rotten Tomatoes the very negative comments from critics are reported which made the film reach the sad percentage of 13% of favorable reviews. The score is the worst ever, even surpassing the debut of the saga which, with the first chapter, reached 21%.
According to the authors of the reviews, one of the biggest problems of the saga is that viewers never get passionate about the story of the characters who lack depth, thus making the events, no matter how spectacular they are, uninvolving.
Other elements rejected in the feature film directed by Zack Snyder are the use of slow motion and the lack of originality underlying the story.
Not far from the two Rebel Moon films is Sucker Punch, released in theaters in 2011, which received 22% positive comments from the press.
