The May of books in Porto Viro

PORTO VIRO (Rovigo) – Also this year the municipal administration of Porto Viro has joined the national campaign to promote reading Il Maggio dei libri and will have three important authors.

It starts on Wednesday May 8th with the winner of the Campiello Opera Prima 2021 award, Daniela Gambaro, with the book “Ten almost true stories”. Gambaro, as well as a writer, is a film and TV screenwriter (among others, screenwriter of Lolita Lobosco); Wednesday 15 Mayor there will be Antonio Manuel Bragonzi who will tell his incredible story of a Chilean child who, after witnessing the murder of his mother at just 4 years old, ran away and lived alone in the forest for three years, until he was found and taken to an orphanage and from there followed the adoption by two Italian spouses; his story is told in the book “Forever”. The lawyer will moderate the meeting Fulvia Fois and the delicate topic of adoptions and foster care will be addressed.

The last meeting is scheduled for Wednesday 29 May and will host thelawyer Luigi Migliorini who will present his book “Strano ma vero” – stories of justice and politics – and the mayor of Porto Viro will moderate the meeting, Valeria Mantovan. All meetings will be at 9.00 pm in the conference room of the municipal library of Porto Viro in via Navi Romane 8 and entry is free and no reservation is necessary.
