New details on Zack Snyder’s director’s cut coming to streaming
Today it makes its streaming debut Rebel Moon – Part 2: The Scarbut fans are already anxious to know what will be included in the waits director’s cut of both parties presumably arriving this summer.
Director Zack Snyder recently revealed that the R-rated extended versions of both films will contain much more material, including several scenes of graphic violence and sex, one of which features Ed Skrien’s character is an alien.
In the version already released on Netflix of Daughter of FireEd Skrein’s Admiral Atticus Noble has a “close encounter” with a squid-like alien, but the scene cuts out before reaching its climax. The director’s cut appears to include the entire sequence.
“We had a 179-page script, so no one ever saw the first 11 pages, because by nature they could only be present in the R-rated version“, Skrien told Total Film. “It’s a horror. It was fun to shoot and I can’t wait for people to see it“.
Rebel Moon fans then asked Skrein himself for previews of his sex sequence with the alien: “Plus, I don’t know whether to be worried or excited because Netflix users keep telling me, ‘Have you seen the R-rated director’s cut yet?’ and also ‘Have you seen your alien sex scene yet?’, so I’m super excited to see it. And I hope I don’t appear in too many memes“.
