The acclaimed comedy starring Chris O’Dowd returns to streaming on Apple TV+ with new episodes from April 24th.

The Prize of Destiny 2: The plot and previews

Based on the novel of the same name by MO Walsh, the second season returns to follow the residents of Deerfield as the Morpho machine – the mysterious machine that promises to reveal each resident’s life potential – prepares them for the mysterious “next phase”. As everyone’s revealed potentials are mistaken for visions, new relationships are born and new questions are asked in the city. Dusty (Chris O’Dowd) and Cass (Gabrielle Dennis) decide to separate, while Trina (Djouliet Amara) and Jacob (Sammy Fourlas) learn that they can shed their old labels. George (Josh Segarra) and Izzy (Crystal Fox) find their own romance, while Hana (Ally Maki) and Father Reuben (Damon Gupta) try to find out what the purpose of the machine is. The small community once again finds itself questioning what it thought it knew about the lives of its inhabitants, their relationships, their potential and about Morpho itself.

The second season welcomes old and new guest stars, including Justine Lupe, Aaron Roman Weiner, Mary Holland, Patrick Kerr, Cocoa Brown, Carrie Barrett, Elizabeth Hunter, Jim Meskimen, Matt Dellapina and Melissa Ponzio.
