“Practically Piazza XX”, an event organized by the Il Grattacielo torna Artistic Center, from 4th to 7th Julyto enliven one of the most evocative places in Livorno: Piazza XX Settembre.
The festival includes shows, concerts and a talk show entitled “Mixed crew“, every evening at 9pm at the opening of the same, dedicated to the Livorno rowing races. All of this, with free admission, for the artistic direction of Eleonora Zacchi.
To open the dance Thursday, July 4th will be the mayor Luca Salvetti and a representative of the female category of the nautical sections, followed by “To talk” by Annagaia Marchioro, Friday July 5th it will be the turn of the three presidents of the organizing committees (Monica Bellandi for the Coppa Barontini, Michele De Martino for the Palio Marinaro and Luca Ondini for the Coppa Risi’atori), followed by “Put an evening at a vigil…with the disappeared Livorno not to be forgotten” with Alessandro Andreini, Daniela Salucci and Massimiliano Bardocci (guitar), while Saturday 6th July it will be the turn of the journalist Alberto Gavazzeni together with Valentina Baldanzi and Denise Bendinelli, mother and daughter who row in different cellars, respectively Labrone and Ardenza, Roberto Merlino and Davide Merlino, father and son who row in different cellars, respectively Salviano and Venezia, subsequently “Divergent” with Andrea Paone. In conclusion, Sunday 7th July the stage will host the councilor for culture Simone Lenzi with Alessio Marra, president of the Salviano nautical section and Nicola Baccigalupo, vice president of the Venice nautical section. A theatrical show dedicated to the power of words. On stage a microphone and an actress. A journey to discover words, which can be windows or walls. #POURPARLER is inspired by American stand-up, declining it in a very personal way, to understand something of the world we are living in using a shrewd and biting irony. A very queer, very feminist and very sexy stand-up. If the Greeks invented the passive periphrastic there must be a reason. #POURPARLER is a show in continuous transformation, every night new words, and new stories. And if it is true that today anything is communicated, sometimes even nothing, #POURPARLER is the exact opposite, a show desperately searching for meaning. And for a permanent center of gravity. Or even just Battiato in the worst bars in the suburbs. A viral show, destined to spread everywhere, like a virus on tiktok. In the era of digital hate, a show that serves to fight it even within us, when we don’t even realize we have internalized it. An evening searching for the right words to love without distinction of sex, race, language or religion.
