A new and important step forward for the mobility of Forlì, which in this case involves the hamlet of Roncadello. In recent days the Municipality has announced the completion of the works for the first two sections of the cycle path, whose final objective is to connect the neighborhood with the church of San Benedetto in via Lunga up to the center of Forlì, passing through via del Canale.

The works to build the first and second sections of the cycle path, for about 1.5 km up to the Coop Sapore di Romagna farm, were made possible by funds from the Pnrr cycle path tender.

“The first two sections were completed in recent days, with the positioning of horizontal and vertical signs. It is 1.5 km of bidirectional cycle-pedestrian path, in asphalt, 1.5 meters wide and complete with curbs at the end, widened to the height of the small bridges, in order to allow cars – explains the mobility councilor Giuseppe Petetta – easy access to private properties. The work on these two lots, financed with PNNR resources, began at the end of October and was completed in less than eight months. The project is part of a strategic path aimed at strengthening the centrality of the suburbs”.

The entire project is part of the Pums, the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan, which began in 2020 and continued with the more specific Biciplan in 2023. The entire cycle path in its length will cost approximately 2 million euros. As for the last section, financed with funds from the Emilia-Romagna region that have already been allocated, Petetta explains: “it is in the executive planning phase for a length of another 2 km and will complete the connection with the San Benedetto district, starting from the Coop Sapore di Romagna – Canonici farm and entering via Lughese”.
