By popular demand, after the resounding success, the Molfettese popular theatre collective “Dino la Rocca Aps” returns with the comedy “Mètremonie alla melbttèise”.
On July 13, 2024, at the Ponente amphitheater, the longest-running group in our city’s theater scene returns with “Mètremonie alla Melfettèise” Written by Dino Regina and adapted for the direction of Giorgio Latino.
This year the theatre group celebrates the 50th anniversary of the first comedy in vernacular held at the Cineteatro Supercinema, written and directed by Felice Altomare.
The comedy is set in a specific historical/social moment.
In fact, the plot takes place in 1962/63 and tells the story of a normal family of the time dealing, typical of the time, with the wedding of their daughter Cèlsine, the recipient of an embassy.
A comedy to laugh, smile, but above all to reflect on how times and our society have changed.
It will be public between a laugh, a smile and a deep reflection to note the changes.
The cast is composed of all the actors of the group, who have been able to combine experience and innovation. An appointment not to be missed to savor the magic of traditional theater. The years pass but the passion remains unchanged.
The evening will see the presence of Felice Altomare, author of the first comedy in vernacular who will be awarded a commemorative plaque.
