La Spezia, July 2, 2024 – One “heavily polluted” sample, another “polluted”, four with parameters within the limits. These are the results of the sampling carried out by Legambiente volunteers along the coast of La Spezia as part of the Goletta Verde monitoring campaign. A mixed picture, slightly better than in other provinces, in a regional situation that is still very complex, where 11 of the 23 samples taken by Legambiente were found to be “heavily polluted” or “polluted”.

In the La Spezia area, the sample taken from the canal that passes through the area was found to be “heavily polluted”. under Garibaldi square in Monterosso, which flows into the sea, while the sample taken at sea, near the outlet below the belvedere, was found to be “polluted” Manarola. Within the limits, the samples taken at sea, at the mouth of the canal under the steps on the Venere Azzura beach in Lerici, in the sea at the height of the historical triangle of Marinella in Sarzanaat the beach of Fiumaretta. The sample taken at the mouth of the Rio Corniglia in Vernazza was also within the limits.
