The long-awaited Kermesse returns on Saturday 13 July, now in its twelfth edition
LECCE – Saturday 13th July, starting at 8.30pm at the Cloister of the Dominicans of Lecce, “Charme in pink” returns, the most anticipated wine event of the Salento summer, created to promote the rosé wines and extra virgin olive oils of Puglia and organized by the Italian Sommelier Association of Lecce in collaboration with AIS Puglia. Participants in the twelfth edition of the event will have the opportunity to taste around 200 labels of rosé wines and 50 of extra virgin olive oils from Puglia. Wines and oils that will be paired with gastronomic delicacies created for the occasion by chefs Donato Episcopo of the restaurant “Gimmi” del Chiostro dei Domenicani and Fabio Vulpitta of “Aqua – Le Dune” in Porto Cesareo, as well as other local delicacies such as cheeses from “Masseria Cinque Santi” in Vernole, a selection of cured meats by Donato Sifanno of “Sommelier Clandestino” and various baked goods. However, we will start talking about rosé wine starting at 7 pm with the masterclass on the theme “Vintage pink bubbles”, during which we will taste some old labels of classic method rosé sparkling wines from Puglia.
Participation fee 35 euros, including a glass with its bag, free tasting of rosés and oils, two hot dishes, cold cuts, cheeses and various baked goods.
