The Civil Protection has issued a weather alert with criticality code YELLOW for rain and strong storms from 9:00 pm on Monday 1st to 8:00 am on Tuesday 2nd July

Forecast until midnight tomorrow (Meteorological Surveillance Bulletin):

An Atlantic trough is sinking into the Mediterranean area and will move eastward today, Monday, causing marked instability in northern Italy and on the Tyrrhenian slopes of the center also for tomorrow, Tuesday.
RAIN: From today’s afternoon, Monday, and throughout the day tomorrow, Tuesday, increased instability with possible scattered thunderstorms. The phenomena locally and temporarily could be of strong intensity, in particular on the coastal strip, the Florentine and Arezzo Apennines between today’s evening, Monday, and tomorrow’s morning, Tuesday. Other thunderstorms, however, will be possible this afternoon, Monday, in the center south, and in the central hours of tomorrow, Tuesday, in the northwest. In the thirty-six hours, average cumulatives are not significant, maximums up to 30-50 mm in the most intense thunderstorms, also possible in a short time (about 1 hour).
