Three days of celebration in Varenna. The Festa del Lago returns to the Larian town, an event organized by the Pro Loco with the patronage of the Municipality, which this year celebrates its 41st anniversary. The event will be held from Friday 5th to Sunday 7th July with many initiatives for the whole family.
The event will offer street food in the Olivedo gardens for all three days, with an area equipped with tables and structures, where typical products of Italian cuisine will be served, from 11 in the morning until late in the evening. New for 2024 will be the traditional games organized by Gonfiabilandia which, starting at 11 on Friday, will entertain the little ones. On Friday at 22, the evocative historical reenactment of the landing of refugees from Isola Comacina to the “Riva Grande” is scheduled.
During the weekend, both Saturday and Sunday, it will be possible to go on excursions aboard the “Lucie”, the typical boats of Lake Como. On Saturday, the evening will also be enlivened by a fireworks display: at 11:15 pm, along the Giorgio Mornico walkway and from the lakeside, you can admire the fireworks. For the occasion, Navigazione Laghi has organized a special car ferry ride, leaving from Varenna at half past midnight and heading to Menaggio and Bellagio.
