Livorno 1 July 2024 – Garibaldissima, second week of events, all the events

Second slot of events, after last week’s debut, for the fourth edition of Garibaldissima, the music, theater and cabaret festival of Fondazione Lem for the Municipality of Livorno and the artistic direction of Claudio Marmugi.

Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, until July 25, the spotlight will be on Piazza Garibaldi with a series of events, all with free admission.

The festival maintains its freshness as always. A small popular square, a treasure chest in the heart of Livorno like Piazza Garibaldi, with its stories and its History, which comes back to life, to pulsate with its own light and to fill itself with spectacle, in a real explosion of notes, laughter, applause, color and folklore with a quality program.

Theater, actors, comedy, musicians, all on the field in a light version, without special effects or particulars, just voice and microphone, exploiting all the magic of the natural stage of the square and counting on the close proximity with the audience. Without makeup and without deception.

The most famous arias from international musicals

The ARTEMUSICAL company was formed in 2015. The sign that distinguishes them is their passion for singing and musical comedy. The Company is made up of a group of artists from different musical and theatrical experiences. Their show is based on musicals, in any facet, from Broadway to Disney passing through the Italian musical (“Notre Dame de Paris” and “Romeo and Juliet” above all). The repertoire also includes classics of the Italian theatrical tradition such as “Rugantino” or “Aggiungi un posto a tavola”.

“I have been a comedian for over twenty years, touring Italy and sometimes abroad (first edition of the Cairo Mediterranean Literary Festival “Literature and Humour”). I have participated in ZELIG OFF and ZELIG ARCIMBOLDI (Canale 5). My monologues and some of my characters have been protagonists in the radio program OTTOVOLANTE (Rai RADIODUE). I have published for Sonzogno “Il grande libro dei Ma teee…!? Conjugal eroticism and other oxymorons”. As Doctor Menisco I am a clown-doctor, with “Chez nous… le cirque!”, in some pediatric wards in Tuscany.”

Acoustic trio with Roberta Cingolani on vocals, Andrea Sonetti on guitar, Matteo Fusaro on piano. Exquisitely acoustic pop, with a pinch of contaminations from rock and jazz.

Roberta Cingolani, professional singer and chorister, Class of 68′, Singing teacher for over 30 years. She began her musical career in 1989 with the Gospel choir “Jubelee Shouters”. She participated in the project “Stellarium” by Renato Zero at Bussola Domani and in the program “Sembra ieri” hosted by Iva Zanicchi on Rete 4. She has performed in several musicals, including “Voglia matta anni 60”, “Mamma mia”, “Moulin Rouge” and “Fosse”. She was the lead singer in the musical project “Yesterday…dimmi chi erano i Beatles” and as a chorister for Andrea Bocelli in Lajatico in 2007 (vivere Live in Tuscany dvd sugar records 2008). In 1999 the singer recorded a CD entitled “Covers” in production with Spazi Sonori of Livorno. Since 2000, she has worked at the Forte Village Resort as a soloist of the orchestra and backing vocalist for personalities such as Matt Bianco, Annalisa Minetti, Gigi d’Alessio, Grazia di Michele and many others… and collaborates in the entertainment of shows organized for important companies, all over the world, participating in the meantime, in numerous singing seminars.

She participated in the scientific research on the pancafit method applied to singing and presented at the international conference of speech therapy and phoniatrics in Ravenna in 2019.

Since 2010 she has taught modern singing and is the organizer of musical events at the San Ranieri hotel in Pisa and a singer at the Principe di Piemonte in Viareggio. She is currently a certified Easysing method teacher at the highest level.

Andrea Sonetti received his first classical guitar at the age of 8. A lover of the Rock & Blues genre, I played with many groups from Labronica. He wrote pop songs with blues influences from the ages of 16 to 40. I left the world of electric to switch to acoustic in 2003, a passion that still drags me to perform alone in fingerstyle or in other formations, collaborating especially with many artists from Labronica.

Matteo Fusaro, born in 1973. In 1983 he began studying classical piano with Maestro Ornella Filippi. In 1987 he continued his classical training at the Istituto Musicale R. Del Corona with the concert pianist Maestro Osvaldo Nocilli. In 1988 he began studying jazz with local pianists. In 1990 he took part in the jazz ensemble seminar at the “La Cinquantina” Music School in Cecina, held in the summer by the famous pianist Franco D’Andrea. Between 1990 and 1991 he began collaborating with local blues-fusion groups, working in various clubs in the area. In the academic years 1993-1994 and 1994-1995 he attended the jazz harmony and arrangement course held by the pianist Maestro Mauro Grossi at the “P. Mascagni” music conservatory in Livorno. In 1994 he began strictly jazz collaborations in various groups. He performs concerts in both the acid-jazz funk and jazz fields, with the jazz-fusion group Coalition with guitarist Corrado Rossetti, bassist Diego Persi Paoli and Carlo Cavallini on drums. He also collaborates with jazz singers Giovanna Iannotti and Francesca Celati in duos and standard formations. In the disco field he was part of the group Plissdebill, with guitarist Marco Baracchino and bassist Daniele Nannini, playing funk and ’70 disco in various venues in Tuscany and Lazio; in funk he played with Overbeat, with bassist Diego Persi Paoli and drummer Alessandro Brilli. He founded the Acquaforte project with guitarist Marco del Giudice, with this ensemble he won several competitions presenting songs of his own composition: “Acqua” for the ASA competition and “Stufo” included in a compilation curated by Vitaminic and produced by Philips. In 2004, Acquaforte recorded his first CD produced by Spazi Sonori in Livorno. He collaborated in musical propaedeutics with the Atelier delle Arti in Livorno. He was the pianist of the Joyful Gospel Choir in Livorno, a well-known choir that has received several awards even outside of Tuscany, with television appearances on Rai 2 on 1 and 3 January 2006. In the summer of 2006, he created the RatPack, Triubute to Frank Sinatra, with singer Stefano Broni, double bass player Nino Pellegrini, drummer Raffaele Commone and saxophonist Alessandro Riccucci. In the autumn of 2006, he joined the ensemble VOCI SOLE, a group of 5 backing singers directed by Claudia Campolongo as Paolo Ruffini’s support. In the summer of 2007, he accompanied the American singer Joyce E. Yuille, in the concert in Marina di Pisa on 7 August. Since December 2007, he has collaborated with the young singer Manuel Aspidi, from the program “Amici”. In the summer of 2008, he accompanied the American singer Crystal White, in the gospel concert in Marina di Pisa.

In December 2008, the “Mia” project was born, a tribute to Mia Martini in jazz, presented at the Goldonetta theatre in Livorno.

He has collaborated with artists such as Sabina Manetti, Michela Lombardi, Alberto Bientinesi, Alessandro Brilli, Alessandro Riccucci, Angelo Ferrua, Carlo Cavallini, Chico De Maio, Claudia Campolongo, Claudio Sax Fabiani, Cristina Pantaleone, Ettore Fancelli, Fabrizio Brilli, Fabrizio Desideri, Fabrizio Morganti, Federico Botti, Francesca Celati, Giovanna Iannotti, Isabella Del Principe, Marco Baracchino, Marco Del Giudice, Maurizio Fiaschi, Mario “Umpi” Meucci.
