The “Romiti Cammina” project is renewed. “Born many years ago from an idea by some residents of the Romiti District of the city of Forlì, who had identified the need to create a moment of aggregation, socialization and knowledge between the people of the Territory, open to all without any formality and with the collaboration of the Romiti neighborhood Committee, we managed to create a walking group with the aim of promoting a healthy lifestyle, combating sedentary lifestyle, loneliness and social isolation”, explains the neighborhood coordinator, Stefano Valmori.

“The walking group is particularly suitable to be understood not only as a form of physical activity, but also as a useful tool to promote socialization among participants, the development of a sense of community, the valorization of the territory and its culture”, continues Valmori. Participation is free of charge. Participants are advised to wear high-visibility clothing, a torch, a bottle of water, footwear suitable for walking, and compliance with the Highway Code is mandatory. “Thanks go to all the participants and organizers, who with great commitment contributed to the success of the project”, explains the neighborhood coordinator.

Valmori remarks: “New friendships and acquaintances have been created, thus achieving the objective that this project had set itself.
Healthy lifestyles and cultivating relationships never go out of style, they are always current, they are the tools for good longevity.
Important result of these years so much so that the project has become part of the map of walking groups of the Emilia Romagna Regional Health Service, Ausl Romagna. For all these reasons the hope is that this project so important for people can continue in the future”.
