Egypt, its history, its mysteries, its timeless monuments and the landscapes shaped by the Nile, have always been a favorite destination for many travelers from all over the world. Most visitors decide to discover it by taking an unforgettable cruise on what is one of the longest waterways on the planet, famous for its thousand-year history and the archaeological sites along its banks. But from 2027most likely, the luckiest tourists will have an extra opportunity: to go in front of many of the wonders of the country on board a luxury train.
The “Guardian of the Nile”, on the train to discover Egypt
It will be called The “Guardian of the Nile” and it will be the first train of Arsenal in Egypt, an iconic train designed and built in Italy in the same company’s factories. An agreement was recently signed between Arsenal e Egypt National Railway for the construction of the first luxury train Made in Italy in Egittowith the inaugural departure scheduled for 2027.
According to initial rumors, it will consist of a maximum of 15 carriages with 40 cabins divided into three different categories: deluxe, suite and honor suite, for a total capacity of 80 local and international passengers to whom a unique and dedicated experience will be reserved, both on board and off the train.
The most beautiful stages
The itineraries will include reserved stops for passengers who will have the opportunity to appreciate many of the wonders of the country. We will start from the ancient streets of Cairo, the fascinating capital of Egypt and also one of the largest cities that exist on our planet. It is no coincidence that it is a place of incredible charm thanks to its many monuments. Examples of this are the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx, but to be completely honest there are many other secrets and well-kept treasures that are worth knowing.
You will obviously arrive in Luxor, the largest open-air museum in the world, where you can understand a very large slice of Egyptian history from the Pharaonic era. Definitely unmissable are the Temple of Luxor and the complex of Karnak, two of the most spectacular monuments in all of Egypt. Even in this case, however, the truth is that every corner of this city, located on the east bank of the Nile and which stands on the ancient site of Thebes, is a most precious treasure.
The last stage (but there will be many others in between) will be Abu Simbel, UNESCO world heritage site, and one of the most important archaeological sites in Egypt. The visitor will find himself in front of a magnificent temple complex located in the southern area of the country and which opens onto the placid waters of Lake Nasser. Here you will discover real wonders carved into the rock inside a mountain, living a unique experience that is difficult to try elsewhere.
In short, by boarding the extraordinary “Guardian of the Nile” it will be possible to discover Egypt from an exciting point of view, crossing the landscapes of the Nile Valley which are rich in majestic temples with enigmatic and fascinating depictions, ancient atmospheres and breathtaking panoramas.
