Milan, July 1 (askanews) – Daniel Canzian is the new president-designate of JRE-Jeunes Restaurateurs, the international association of young chefs that includes over 400 restaurants in 16 countries. “Taking on this role is a great honor for me,” said the chef, owner of the restaurant that bears her name in Milan, adding that “this association represents excellence and innovation in the kitchen. Together with my colleagues,” she continued, “I will carry on the mission of cultivating young talents and promoting high-quality, sustainable gastronomic practices.”

Canzian succeeds Daniel Lehmann, who has been part of the JRE-Jeunes Restaurateurs management team for over a decade, serving as president for the past six years, a tenure that stands out for the significant progress it has made. “It has been a privilege to work with such a talented group of people,” said Lehmann, saying he is “confident that Daniel Canzian will continue to elevate the prestige of the association and inspire our members, leading them to new levels of innovation and excellence in the kitchen.”

Born in 1980 in Conegliano Veneto (Treviso), the new president announced that he wanted to “strengthen JRE’s international connections, promoting intercultural exchanges and partnerships: relationships that will provide members with new opportunities for growth and inspiration and will allow them to identify new markets and opportunities ”. The Italian chef also plans to promote sustainable practices in the kitchen, and expand JRE’s mentorship programs, providing aspiring professionals with the guidance, resources and platforms they need to succeed in the world of gastronomy. Canzian also specified that he will communicate with the young chefs also through the dissemination of multimedia content on social media. Finally, the chef “will encourage members to explore new methods and concepts, always concretely and respecting tradition”.
