Municipal investigation, manager Biondi and entrepreneur Rivetti completely freed

19:23:32 CASERTA. Eighteen days after the arrest, the judges of the twelfth section of the Court of Review of Naples have annulled the order of house arrest for the entrepreneur from Maddaloni Gioacchino Rivetti and for the official of the Municipality of Caserta Francesco Biondi, defended respectively by the lawyers Luca Tornatora and Giuseppe Stellato.

The prosecutors Urbano and Bosso had requested detention in prison for the first (rejected by the investigating judge) and house arrest for the second, contesting the crimes of corruption, violation of legislative decree 165 which regulates the government activities of an entity by the functions of managers and forgery relating to the direct assignment of the renovation works of the municipal dog kennel of Caserta for a fee of approximately 60,000 euros.

During the investigation under investigation, both of them declared to the investigating judge Daniela Vecchiarelli of the court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere that no corruption relationship had taken place and that the work carried out in Biondi’s home (which for the defense was not even proven , according to what emerges from the wiretaps) would be the fruit of an old and consolidated friendship.

Rivetti himself explained that he had not yet been paid for the renovation of the dog kennel and that he had been carrying out work for the Municipality for many years and for various administrations, so much so that he had been called on various occasions for urgent work. Tomorrow the re-examinations of the other two officials Giuseppe Porfidia and Giovanni Natale will be discussed.
