The African anticyclone’s hours are numbered and from tomorrow, Tuesday, it will gradually give way to cooler mistral currents which will lead to a sharp drop in temperatures and will also bring some rain, albeit weak and only in some areas of the region. In particular, the meteorologist continues, tomorrow light showers are expected between Palermo and Messina, ending in the evening, sunnier conditions instead on the rest of the island. Temperatures will drop and in Palermo the maximums will oscillate around 28 degrees, in Messina, Catania and Agrigento around 32-34 degrees. The mistral winds will intensify with gusts up to 40-50 km per hour.
On Wednesday, thickening and some intermittent rain will recur in the northern areas of Sicily, while the sun will prevail in the rest of Sicily. Temperatures will drop by a few more degrees, especially in the internal areas of Sicily, where up to 10 degrees will be lost compared to the beginning of the week. The mistral will continue to blow, albeit more attenuated than on Tuesday. Last local rainfall on Thursday in the north of the island with temperatures now stabilized and winds easing further, while from Friday the comeback of the anticyclone will favor sunnier conditions everywhere with temperatures recovering.
