And turnover of 45 thousand euros per montha constant demand for “novelty” from customers and hot phones that received an average of 1,500 to 2,000 requests per month. This is the size of the Chinese prostitution ring discovered and busted by the carabinieri of Navacchio who put the seals on two pleasure houses: one in Cascina and one in Castelfranco di Sotto.
The investigation, called «Oriente», began in the spring of 2023 after noticing intense male traffic coming from a house in via Tosco Romagnola. The Carabinieri of Navacchio, aided by their colleagues from the Norm of Pontedera, thus put the Asian girl tour: «The online ads were absolutely explicit – the military explained in a note – with the offer of erotic and sexual services by young Asian girls who could be reached through telephone numbers also published in the ads».
The investigators themselves contacted those numbers and received replies from women with a clearly oriental accent, who specified the type of sexual service they were able to provide, the related costs and, obviously, the address of the house. «The clients of the two houses were always and only men, of any age – they explain – they were counted, on average, 15 customers per day for each single home. The average cost of a sexual service was found to be 50 euros, with “minimal” or discounted services for “loyal” customers up to a minimum of 30 euros or, for special requests, with costs up to 100 euros or sometimes higher figures».
The turnover was documented by placing cameras outside the homes «in particular at their entrances, which undoubtedly documented the notable influx of customers, all men, who accessed them at every hour of the day and on every day of the week” and thanks to telephone interceptions the picture that emerged is that of a farmer, also responsible for the exploitation of prostitution, owner of the two properties where prostitution was practiced and who was well aware of the illicit activity conducted on his properties. The man, who also had the task of evaluating the girls and responding to those clients who turned to him to find out if new girls had arrived, in some cases benefited from discounts on services.
A Chinese woman made appointments and agreed with the potential client on the cost and type of sexual service which she then delegated to the girls who were practicing in the apartment at that moment. She decided whether or not to stay at the girls’ home and was responsible for maintaining contact with the first suspect and provided for the payment of the rental of the properties.
A second man from Cascina emerged as a collaborator of the landlady who assisted with every need, especially logistical ones and therefore aimed at promoting prostitution. Often the man, alone or with the woman, went to buy food or materials necessary for running the house, in one case purchasing really 400 condoms in one go. The girls were all of Chinese origin, young and, for the most part, from Northern Italy, in particular from the metropolitan area of Milan. On average, a girl worked in the house for 10 to 15 days at most, if liked, after which she was replaced in order to keep the attention of the regular customers high, always sadly looking for novelty.
