In Sanremo, first evening of the parish celebrations of San Siro

SanremoYesterday evening, June 30, the celebrations for the anniversary of San Siro officially began with a “strong” evening.
Indy Gregory’s father spoke on the topic of “capable of love” with his touching and poignant testimony. The tragedy of little Indy generated the conversion of the parents and, paradoxically, helped other children and their families by facilitating the difficult management of similar cases, with very different outcomes.

Mr. Gregory accompanied by his lawyer, Simone Pillon, and by the lawyer Jacopo Coghe – a staunch supporter of the Pro Vita movement – retraced the various phases of the ordeal he experienced, while the lawyers shared a comparison with the Anglo-Saxon legislation in which, unlike ours, the culture of waste and the superiority of economic interest over everything, even over the value of life, prevails normatively. Pope Francis has intervened many times on this topic, warning and inviting everyone, Christians and non-Christians, not to fall into this perspective.

Those present emotionally participated in Mr. Gregory’s suffering, fully understanding what the true ability to love consists of.

Finally, Bishop Suetta also took the stage and joined the chorus of thanks for those who wanted the evening to take place in such a way as to be able to shine the spotlight on an ethical, social and political problem that is increasingly widespread and present in today’s society.
