After the success recorded last spring with the return after a few years of absence, Lievito returns to the city with a festival entirely dedicated to cinema which will be hosted at the Arena del Cinema Corso which every year offers films from the past season and important previews of the next one .
Lievito Cinema Estate, with the artistic direction of Renato Chiocca, offers seven evenings from 5 to 13 July to see as many films and dialogue with directors, authors and actors. These are highly successful films, but also unreleased films and first screenings to celebrate the talents of Italian cinema.
We start on July 5th with LA TARTARUGA directed by the Latina director Fabrizio Nardocci, a comedy starring Antonello Fassari and Nello Mascia which will be presented by the director in the company of two other Pontine excellences, the author of the original music Marco Lo Russo and the director of photography Nichola Perinelli.
On July 6th we continue with THE SECRET OF LIBERATO, the film that tells the story and origins of Liberato, the Neapolitan musical phenomenon that still hides its identity today, a great success with the public which also sees the Latina singer-songwriter among the protagonists Calcutta and which will be presented by Lorenzo Ceccotti, (aka LRNZ) great cartoonist and designer, director of the extraordinary animations of the film, with whom a signing of his graphic novels is also planned.
On July 8th there is EL PARAISO starring Edoardo Pesce and awarded at the Venice Film Festival for Best Screenplay and Best Actress, presented by the director, screenwriter and operator Enrico Maria Artale, also famous for having directed the series Romulus.
On July 9th, KISSING GORBACIOV will be presented for the first time in Latina, after IL SEGRETO DI LIBERATO, another pressing musical film featuring CCCP with the story of their concert in Melpignano and which, thanks to the then president of the Soviet Union, arrived with Litfiba to play as far as Moscow and Leningrad.
On July 11th there will be the first viewing of NON HANG UP, a claustrophobic thriller set starring Barbara Ronchi and Claudio Santamaria, presented in Latina by director and screenwriter Manfredi Lucibello on the same day as its premiere at the Cinema Adriano in Rome.
On July 12th, by popular demand, a new screening of TUTTO QUELLO CHE SARA’, the film by Renato Chiocca awarded at the European Film Festival about the story of Dennis, the boy living in a family home who in the summer of 2021 is invited by his educator Massimiliano Porcelli to join the Girasoli Tour, a 3500 km bicycle trip in the hidden Italy of the social economy.
The event will close on July 13th with the exclusive premiere of IO E IL SECCO, the film winner of the prestigious Solinas Award, presented in Latina by director Gianluca Santoni and protagonist Andrea Lattanzi, star of the series Summertime.
The appointment
It is therefore from the 5th to the 13th at the Cinema Corso arena in Latina. Each meeting and screening will begin at 9.30pm.
