The US Supreme Court has granted partial presidential immunity to Donald Trump in the trial for the storming of Capitol Hill on January 6, 2021, but only for official acts, that is, actions taken within his constitutional powers.
With a majority of 6 to 3 the Supreme Court Usa ruled on Monday that Donald Trump may enjoy “some level” of immunity in the case of the storming of Congress on January 6, 2021. According to the majority of the justices, immunity should be recognized for official acts performed in the exercise of presidential functions, but not for private ones. This will allow the trial to proceed but with further slowdowns because a distinction will have to be made between official documents and private documents.

Thanks to the Supreme Court’s decision, the possibility that the former president could be removed tried before the presidential election next November for alleged responsibilities in the three-and-a-half-year assault on Capitol Hill.
