Arcuri and Fars (Rifondazione) on differentiated autonomy
Pescara, 1st July 2024. “Here are those who betrayed Abruzzo: Senators Liris and Sigismondi, Deputies Bagnai, Pagano, Roscani, Silvestri and Testa. Only Fina, Di Girolamo and Torto were against.” Viola Arcuri and Marco Fars, co-secretary of the Communist Refoundation Party of Abruzzo, state in a note.
“After so much rhetoric about the homeland and the tricolour, Giorgia Meloni’s government has given the green light to the Northern League’s shattering of national unity. The vote on differentiated autonomy is the sugar, very bitter for Abruzzo, given to the League for the green light for another terrible counter-reform: the law on the premiership, a further blow to the Constitution.”
“The healthcare disaster in Abruzzo is there for all to see: it is the result of 21 healthcare systems regionalized with the reform of Title V of the Constitution; with differentiated autonomy further constraints will be skipped and will be regionalized further national legislative prerogatives such as education. Getting treatment or studying will be very different from South to North.”

“The only votes against the Draft law Provisions for the implementation of the differentiated autonomy of the Regions they arrived from senators Michele Fina (PD) and Gabriella Di Girolamo (M5S), and from MP Daniela Torto (M5S), while Luciano D’Alfonso (PD) and Giulio Sottanelli (Azione) did not participate in the final vote, as Giorgia Meloni will have had other commitments.”

In Abruzzo Rifondazione Comunista will fight against this latest outrage. From appeals to the Constitutional Court, to the blocking of agreements, up to the referendum, we must prevent differentiated autonomy from being realized.
