Night openings, guided tours, mid-August holidays in the museum: this is the programme Art nights 2024 starting Tuesday 2 July at Palazzo dei Pio. A real refuge from the heat of summer evenings, the Museums of Palazzo dei Pio are a place of beauty and coolness in which to spend summer Tuesdays.

In July and August new museum opening hours: in addition to opening on Fridays (10am-1pm), Saturdays, Sundays and holidays (10am-6pm), the Palazzo dei Pio Museums are open extraordinarily with free entry every Tuesday evening from 9pm to midnight (from 2 July to 13 August, closed Tuesday 30 July) for a night visit to the Renaissance halls of Alberto Pio, to discover the historical, artistic and architectural heritage of the city.

Along with the opening, a program of guided tours to the city’s heritage: it starts on Tuesday 2 July at 9.30pm with the City Museum, a journey through 35 centuries of Carpi’s history; Tuesday 9 July two visits (9.15pm and 10.30pm) to the secret parts of the municipal theatre, between the stage and the barcheccia and the control room; Tuesday 16 July and 6 August guided tour of the most beautiful rooms of the Palazzo dei Pio, between art and architecture, through some secret passages; finally on Tuesday 23 July a visit to the treasures of the historical archives through the papers preserved in the deposits (9.15pm and 10.30pm).

Finally, this year too, given the great public success, the traditional opening of the Museum is confirmed Mid-August: in addition to the usual daily opening hours, the Palazzo dei Pio Museums will also be open in the evening until midnight.
