He had been arrested twenty days ago, now the Bologna Review has annulled the precautionary custody order of the Modena investigating judge for Fernando Lombardi (lawyer Angelo Leone), 34 years old, from Foglianise, stopped by the Emilian Flying Squad in an anti-drug investigation by the Prosecutor’s Office of Modena. Lombardi ended up in prison, then after eight days he was placed under house arrest: now, however, he is free.

As anticipated by Ottopagine, the facts for which the 34-year-old, already known to the police, was called into question relate to the period May – July 2021, when, while living in Modena, he allegedly sold on four or five occasions some quantities of cocaine – from 25 to 100 grams – to intermediaries who then delivered them to other people.

The circumstances contested to Lombardi emerged during an investigation born from a report in September 2020 by the Central Directorate for Anti-Drug Services regarding the seizure of a large quantity of cocaine whose recipient had been identified as an Italian citizen living in Guiglia. The package intercepted at the airport in Bogota, Colombia, contained 23 kilos of white powder and the destination was precisely a house in our Apennines”.

Hence an investigative activity which, supported by interceptions and analysis of the historical tracks of GPS satellite devices, would have made it possible to trace several people who, according to the investigators, were involved in drug dealing.

A total of eighteen people under investigation – Sicilians, Albanians, Tunisians, Moroccans, Neapolitans, Caserta residents and Modena residents – were subjected to a precautionary measure: 11 in prison, 4 under house arrest, 2 under the obligation to remain in residence and to sign in, and one with a ban on residence.
