Risk of strong thunderstorms valid in the municipalities of Alto Mugello and lower Valdarno
An Atlantic depression arriving on the Mediterranean will affect northern Italy and the Tyrrhenian slopes of the central regions tomorrow, Tuesday. The regional civil protection operations room has issued a yellow code for strong thunderstorms valid from 9pm today, Monday, until 8am tomorrow, Tuesday 2 July. The areas affected are the entire coastal strip starting from Versilia (including adjacent inland areas), north-eastern Apennine areas and the Tiber Valley.
As regards the Metropolitan City of Firenzethe weather warning for risk of strong storms, is valid in the municipalities ofUpper Mugello and Lower Valdarno, that is to say Fucecchio, Capraia and Limite, Montelupo Fiorentino.
From today’s afternoon and throughout tomorrow, increased instability with possible scattered thunderstorms. The phenomena locally and temporarily could be of strong intensity, in particular on the coastal strip, Florentine and Arezzo Apennines between this evening and tomorrow morning. Other possible thunderstorms this afternoon, in the center south, and in the central hours of tomorrow in the northwest.
