Tragedy in the Brindisi area, where a 25-year-old girl died this morning in Fasano after falling into an elevator shaft in a building in via Piave. The victim, named Clelia Ditano, who was on the fourth floor, would have requested the lift but after opening the door she fell into the void: according to an initial reconstruction, in fact, the cabin would not have risen again. The firefighters are on site to recover the body of the young woman, while the carabinieri of the Fasano company are carrying out investigations to reconstruct the dynamics of the incident. The building where the accident occurred is owned by Arca (regional housing and living agency) Nord Salento.
The alarm raised by parents
It was the parents of the 25-year-old who raised the alarm a few minutes after 6 this morning, worried because their daughter had not returned home. Also in light of these elements, the Carabinieri of the Fasano company who are conducting the investigation are verifying the possibility that the accident could have occurred during the night. From what we understand, the girl would have returned to the apartment to leave some personal effects, to go back down again perhaps because she had forgotten something. And in these seconds the accident would have occurred.
