The Taranto on the first official day of the transfer market, loses one of its key players of the past competitive season, namely his now former captain Gianmarco Vanilla. With his applause-winning saves, the goalkeeper has carved out a very important role for himself in the coach’s tactical chessboard Capuano. In the last hours, Vannucchi used their social profiles to greet the rossoblù fans:
“Dear Taranto, I have been thinking for days about what to write to thank you, but every time it never seems enough, you have been my home for two years and from the very beginning I felt welcomed like a son by these fantastic people, your warmth was indescribable…. I arrived at a difficult time for me professionally and you helped me find myself again, for this I will always be grateful to you! I have experienced indescribable emotions wearing this shirt, I became a father wearing these colors that I will always carry in my heart, it was an honor to be your captain. I have only one regret, not having brought Taranto and its people back where they deserved to be. I thank mister Capuano and all his staff for these seasons together. I will always be a Taranto fan”.
