Viterbo – San Lazzaro roundabout, we are back to turning. The one-month trial ends on July 3rd and after that date, traffic in the area will resume its usual pattern.

Those arriving from Villanova will no longer be forced to turn north, but will also be able to go towards the commercial area and the centre.
While those coming from Montefiascone can turn right at the roundabout, continue straight and can also head towards Villanova, without having to get to the petrol station beyond the cemetery and then go back.
Thirty days of experimentation promoted by Tps Pro, a company appointed by the municipal administration to draw up the urban sustainable mobility plan. In an area where there is very little that is sustainable in terms of traffic, with queues especially during rush hours.
Since the trial has not yet been completed, there are no definitive data. When they arrive, a report will be prepared in which the pros and cons of what has been experienced over the last month will be analyzed and at that point a public debate will open.
Among the advantages, having eased the traffic at the San Lazzaro roundabout, traffic that has however moved further down the valley. Then there are the residents and shopkeepers of via Villanova, not exactly enthusiastic about the extended route.
Although there are no conclusions yet, it seems that what has been gathered so far coincides with the initial forecasts at Palazzo dei Priori, where, although they prefer to wait for the certainty of the numbers, they do not seem particularly pessimistic about the outcome.
The test will continue in some way after the 3rd, since the return to normality and the inevitable queue that from outside the city will return to concentrate in the critical points of the two roundabouts will also be analysed.
