Brescia, the Lamarmora lido reopens but with reduced opening hours

Brescia. The summer lido of the Lamarmora swimming pool in Brescia reopens this Monday 1st July. It will not be a continuous service for the summer, but, at the moment, the municipal structure, managed by San Filippo Spa, will only remain active from Monday 1st to Friday 5th, from 12pm to 7pm, and from Monday 8th to Friday 12th at the same time .
On the weekend of Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th July the Lamarmora facility will not be open to the public because it will host the Italian Club Championships and the 46th Absolute Summer Paralympic Swimming Championships.

«The reduced availability of opening hours and days – Palazzo Loggia announced in a note, – is attributable to the recent change in legislation that regulates work for sports clubs which has affected the entire sector at a national level, creating inconvenience and difficulties in hiring lifeguards, coordinators and lifeguards, necessary for the summer beaches of the city swimming facilities”.
The efforts made so far, which also involved an external company for the recruitment of lifeguards, have nevertheless allowed the opening of the beach starting from Monday despite the enormous employment difficulties of the sector at a national level that are creating significant inconveniences to summer beaches throughout Italy. The San Filippo company has further activated itself to announce a further tender and guarantee the extension of the opening of the beach.
