L’AQUILA – A photo on Facebook reveals the completion of the redevelopment work on Piazza Chiarino, which began in October last year.
Approximately 700 thousand euros, the cost of the intervention, resources pertaining to the Complementary Fund to the Pnrr for the areas hit by the 2009 earthquake and central Italy.
New flooring, new street furniture and new lighting. As already happened for Piazza Regina Margherita and Piazza Duomo, the redevelopment works have generated conflicting opinions on the web on the Facebook group message board ‘L’Aquila and its surroundings before and after’ – photo by Rita Montagliani.

Meanwhile, if we had to put benches, it would have been primary to put them with backrests. A seat is especially comfortable for those who are no longer kids! Among other things, those sharp edges of the boxes, positioned at children’s eye level, seem extremely absurd to me! […] Unfortunately it is the total lack of good taste. The city is one thing, another is another!
