On the A9 Lainate-Como-Chiasso, to allow inspection and maintenance activities of the tunnels, the following closure measures will be adopted:
LMONDAY 1st, TUESDAY 2nd AND WEDNESDAY 3rd JULY, FROM 10pm to 5pm:
-it will be closedthe stretch between Lake Como and Como Centro, towards Lainate.
Alternativelyafter the obligatory exit at the Lago di Como junction, take the ordinary road system following the signs for Milan and return to the A9 at the Como Centro junction.
FROM 11 PM ON FRIDAY 5TH TO 5 AM ON SATURDAY 6TH JULY
FROM 11 PM ON SATURDAY 6TH TO 6 AM ON SUNDAY 7TH JULY
-It will be closed the stretch between Lake Como and the A59 Como ring road junction, towards Lainate.
Alternatively, after the obligatory exit at the Lake Como junction, take the ordinary road system following the signs for Milan and return to the A9 at the Fino Mornasco station.
Please note that for those coming from the A59 Como ring road, the connecting branch on the A9 will be regularly passable;
-the stretch between Como Centro and Chiasso, towards the Italian-Swiss border, will be closed.
Alternativelyafter the obligatory exit at the Como Centro junction, take the ordinary road towards Chiasso until you reach the city customs.
In light of the above closures, the Como Centro junction will be closed for entry in both directions, Lainate and Chiasso.
IAlternatively we recommend:
towards Lainate: enter Fino Mornasco;
towards Chiasso: follow the signs for Chiasso.
