They were published in the Praetorian Notice Board of Municipality of Andriawith determination n. 2177 of last June 20ththe costs for the evening performance of the new Andria orchestra, which was held on Saturday 22 June 2024 at the Villa Comunale, and which currently amount to over 25 thousand euros.
“A frankly disproportionate figure – they say Sabino Napolitano (Citizen Commissioner Brothers of Italy Andria) and Gaetano Scamarcio (President Generazione Catuma) – which demonstrates first of all that this Administration, where and when it wants, is able to find economic resources which, for other more pressing issues, are instead denied.”
But let’s go in order:
2,200 euros were spent on a social campaign of promotion of the evening e 2,100 euros for the safety technician.
“Estimate – add Scamarcio and Napolitano – sent only 10 days before the concert on 12 June, therefore on average over 200 euros per day would have been spent to advertise the evening on social media. Is there a rotation of technicians in Andria? How does the choice of these figures work?”.
And they still turn out almost 13 thousand euros spent for the performance of the 31 members of the orchestra.
“We do not understand – they conclude – what’s the point of spending so much money to advertise an evening, just one evening. There are also over 3 thousand euros for the visibility advertising campaign and printing of various communication materialswhen the performance for the public took place on the one hand with a presumed free entry, but on the other hand with entry via official invitation, in short, giving space, and a chair, to friends of friends and relatives of relatives.
We believe that if this is the business card of the Andria summer, it does not start with the best auspices. In any case, we ask for more transparency, more clarity in the rotation of roles and more caution in the choice of public resources to invest. Because, we ask ourselves, if more than 25 thousand euros were spent for one evening, why do some councilors say they don’t have, for example, resources to cut the grass in the city? Is there differentiated autonomy in spending between one department and another even before the reform starts? We await explanations from the mayor.”
