Hunters’ Rights Recognized

The hunting associations Arci Caccia Teramo, ANLC Teramo, Enalcaccia Teramo and Italcaccia Abruzzo express their satisfaction with the decision of the TAR of Abruzzo which has detected possible illegitimacy in the provision of the Abruzzo Region. This provision, by modifying the criteria of representation in the ATC, has attempted to eliminate pluralism and deny the right of a good part of hunters to be represented.

We now trust that the Supreme Court”, underline the hunting associations that signed the joint document, “re-establish the rule of law, recognizing the legitimate aspirations of Abruzzo hunters. Not We can, however, refrain from asking ourselves some crucial questions:

  1. Who benefited from this questionable legislative initiative?

We believe the answer is: “to no one, least of all to hunters.”

  • Would it not be appropriate, while awaiting the ruling on the legitimacy of regional law no. 11 of 2023, to proceed with the administration of bodies that could be declared illegitimate?

Our response is: “as soon as possible, also to protect the current members of the CGS”.

  • Will the next appointments of the members of the Management Committees, which are now upon us, be made with this rule on which the Constitutional Court must express its opinion, or will the Region take a different path?

For us, the answer seems obvious.

Waiting for a clear pronouncement from the Abruzzo Region,” the note concludes, “ we remain vigilant and determined in defending the rights of hunters and ensuring fair and pluralist representation within the ATC”. SoArci Caccia Teramo, ANLC Teramo, Enalcaccia Teramo, Italcaccia Abruzzo.
