Frontman Pasquale Sculco’s band will stop in the municipality on the occasion of the celebrations of Saints Peter and Paul
It will be a fiery weekend, punctuated by important religious celebrations and civil celebrations of the highest quality. The municipality of Pedivigliano is preparing to celebrate the Saints Peter and Paul in the
days – and evenings – of 28 and 29 June, at the culmination of a series of events that started on 20 June.
Proponent of a dynamic calendar suitable for all ages is the young parish priest of Pedivigliano, Don Giuseppe Mancuso who, assisted by the local committee and the town community, was able to perform a small “miracle”, combining the sacredness of the event with a more “playful”, joyful, spectacular side.
The civil celebrations will be kicked off by the professionalism and freshness of BandaBallò who, on the evening of Friday 28 June, will make tourists and locals dance to the notes of the best hits of the Sixties, Seventies and Eighties. From midnight onwards, the rhythm changes: it will be the turn of the well-known DJ Franco Siciliano and the best hits of local and international dance, mixed with skill to unleash the “people of the night”. On Saturday 29 June, the civil celebrations will start in the afternoon, with a show designed especially for the little ones. In the evening, it will be the turn of the “guest stars” of the two days of celebrations in Pedivigliano: Carbohydrates. The band, led by the histrionic Pasquale Sculco, was experiencing a golden moment.
After participating in the talent show “Amici di Maria De Filippi”, in fact, the group has acquired important acclaim by recently publishing the new single “Polpette di discomfort”.
Sculco’s voice is very recognizable in a panorama, that of Italian pop, accustomed to “churning out” hits that are all too similar to each other. The performer, moreover, boasts a background of respect: after “Amici”, in fact, the boy lent his face and stamp to the cause of Fiorello’s well-known “Viva RaiDue” container, appearing in the space known as “Video Box”;
Sculco also lent his talent to “Mamma Rai”, creating the theme song for the sports program “Calcio Totale”. The icing on the cake of a career destined to truly aim high, the boy was part of the very small group of artists who received the honor of performing in the Vatican.
Not just Pasquale Sculco: all the Carbohydrates members are known for their skill, competence and love for their profession. The group promises to enthuse adults and children, perhaps also bringing to the stage some historic songs by Rino Gaetano, a true icon of Italian and Calabrian music. This sparkling weekend in Pedivigliano will close with the DJ set of the very young Davide Chiodo, a new name on the DJ scene in Italy, who promises to be talked about a lot.
